Inside / Out
This project was an exploration and celebration of the engineering that keeps the world moving. For me I wanted to highlight the inner workings and make them sole focus, as opposed to how they are in day to day to life; hidden and buried amongst many other components and rarely presented in a way to be appreciated and analysed. Gears and movements such as schmidt coupling, Geneva movements and paralytic pumps have a beauty to them where they're perfectly in balance and there is genius in their simplicity.
